Born on 16 February 1886 Katherine was baptised on March 5th by Fr. O’Reilly. Her sponsors were Helena (Ellen) Cooney and William Garret. Presumably Helena is (her Mother) Mary’s sister Ellen who emigrated to the US with her in 1881/2.
Katherine is noted as working as a bookkeeper for Kansas City Manufacturing and Supply Company the 1910 edition of the Kansas City Directory (under Glenn). She married Cornelius James Duggan (born circa 1877) sometime after May 1915. They had one adopted daughter, Helen who was born in 1922.
Katherine Cecilia died on 8 April 1945 and was buried at Mount St Mary’s Cemetery on 11th April. She died of cancer of the cervix, which she had had for 12 months prior to her death. Her daughter Helen was the informant on the death certificate.
Her obituary reads as follows:
DUGGAN – Mrs Katherine C. wife of Cornelius J Duggan, died Sunday April 8 1945, at her residence 2516 Monroe. Mrs Duggan was a member of the Third Order of St Dominic and the altar society of The Holy Name Church. Funeral will be held from the funeral home, Broadway-Linwood blvd., Wednesday morning at 9.30. Services at Holy Name Church, 23rd and Benton,, at 10 o’clock. Interment Mt St Mary’s Cemetery. The rosary will be recited Tuesday evening at 8.30. J F O’Donnell Co. 
At the time of her father’s death in 1922 right up until her own death in 1945 Katherine was living at 2516 Monroe. Cornelius J Duggan died on 28 October 1947 and was buried with his wife at Mount Saint Mary’s Cemetery on 30 October.
Helen served in the US Navy during World War II and after the war moved to California to live. She never married.
