Loving Father, Brother, Philanthropist, Telethon Producer, Teacher, and Fund Raiser, Dog & Horse Lover lost his courageous battle with cancer on Thursday, October 29, 2015, surrounded by his devoted family.
Beloved Father to John William and Liam Davis, Father In Law to Suzanne Poscich Glynn (all of New Fairfield), Brother to Paul Glynn, Hubert Glynn and predeceased by his beloved Wife Jeanne Davis Glynn, Brother John Glynn and Brother Jim Glynn. In addition, he will be sadly missed by his relatives in Ireland, Australia, England, and the United States.
Malachy was born on December 29, 1932 to Hubert & Mary McMahon in Naas, CO. Kildare Ireland w/his family finally settling in Castlebar, Ireland where he played Irish Football for his beloved County Mayo. In his early 20's he ventured to teach Latin & Mathematics in England. At the age of 26 he came to the United States where he and his family later resided in Inwood, NY.
The Glynn family's fondest memories were spending their summers on Candlewood Isle in New Fairfield where Malachy also lived out his later years.
Reposing will be at Green Funeral Home, 57 Main St., Danbury, CT on Monday, November 2, 2015 from 3 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Edwards Catholic Church, Brush Hill Road, New Fairfield, CT at 11 a.m., Tuesday, November 3.
